Lauren and Alex… Married! (part one!)

I have been so excited about this wedding since our engagement session from over a year ago!   I knew when Lauren told me she wanted to shoot the engagement session at the Bluegrass Fair that we were going to get along famously.  And then she said told me more about their carnival themed wedding and I was so so excited!  It has been so awesome to see this wedding come together over the past year (mostly through social media!)  There was a lot of DIY touches that went into this wedding, not limited to the 1000 paper cranes that Lauren folded.  When we met a week before the wedding and she told me the sideshow was ready to go, I could hardly contain myself!  Obviously this wedding needs multiple posts.  So, without further ado – part 1 of Lauren and Alex’s big day!

Their invitation really set the feeling for the whole day!

  1. What a fun wedding day, I wish I knew the couple so I could have been invited! I love the parasols instead of the traditional bouquet and the straw rowing hats for the men-and of course the animal masks! The ringbearer has a great and creative outfit instead of the unusual black tuxedo (probably glad in that hot summer sun!) and, as usual, simply beautiful photographs that reflect the couple and their day; the fun and the sweetness, happiness and joy, and the bittersweet and solemnity. Congratulations Lauren and Alex!

  2. Emily… have capture Lauren and Alex to perfection. The photos are beautiful and such a lovely repersentation of that day! Thank you so much! Frances
