Last week I moved into a studio with Fielden Willmott Millinery. We’ve worked together on a few shoots before (check them out here and here) and last month she told me that she was going to have a space opening up in her studio. I was little hesitant at first – I had been working from home and was unsure about the overhead with working somewhere else. But, working from home was starting to take its toll. I wasn’t good at separating work life and home life and would often find myself working at 11pm. Or worse, sitting at the computer all day and not getting very much done because I was so distracted by my house. Well, I finally decided to go ahead and make the jump and I am so glad I did! I had forgotten what it was like to go somewhere to work every day, and how nice it is to go home after work! It’s already made a huge difference in my productivity and general sense of well-being. And Fielden’s sweet golden retriever, Lady, is an excellent work partner. 🙂 I’m so excited to have a space to meet with clients and have company through out my work day!
The address is 208 W. Third Street in Lexington just down from Gratz Park (and only a two block walk from my house!) 🙂 I love this neighborhood and everyone around us is so nice!
This is the sweet Lady.
Some time this winter we are going to have an open house, but until then I’m going be busy with weddings and family sessions until early November. We have a lot of plans for the space in the next few months – I can’t wait to watch it come together. If you’re in the neighborhood please feel free to stop by!
(also, if you’re interested in watching it come together in real-time, or if you want to see more photos of Lady, follow me on instagram @emilymoseley.)
Thank you for all your support – this is a huge step in my business and I couldn’t have done it without you! ❤
